Our client was managing production quality using a Microsoft Access database containing valuable operational data. However, the analyses were performed manually, consuming significant time and limiting decision-making efficiency. The objective was to automate data analysis, provide clear visibility into critical defects, and measure the effectiveness of corrective actions through interactive Power BI dashboards.
Our Solution
We connected Power BI directly to the existing Microsoft Access database and deployed an automatically refreshed dashboard through an on-premises gateway, providing real-time access to quality performance indicators. The solution includes:
- Pareto analysis of defects to identify and prioritize the most critical non-conformities.
- PPM monitoring and trend analysis to track quality performance over time.
- Corrective action effectiveness measurement to evaluate the impact of improvement initiatives.
- Advanced filtering capabilities by year, month, product range, manufacturing order, and defect type.
- Secure access through Power BI Service, enabling stakeholders to monitor quality performance anytime, anywhere, without manual intervention.
The result is a centralized, automated, and data-driven quality management solution that significantly reduces reporting effort and accelerates decision-making.
